So I was thinking all day today about my workout routine and lack of motivation. I wanted to narrow in on what was different that is making me feel this way and I think I may have found the solution. I started taking a new BC pill about 2, going on 3 weeks ago and that I really feel its having a negative effect on my attitude/emotions so I am changing back. The second reason is that I dont like being told what to do. hahaha simple as that! I started the P90X/Turbofire hybrid schedule on Beachbody and its not the way I wanted to do it. I wanted to do P90X classic (full routine) AND Turbofire (full routine) simultaneously. They kind of merged the two together and left out routines from each.... not cool. So today is day one of my new routine. I did chest/back this morning and as soon as I got home from dinner I did my Turbofire - Fire 30 routine. Helllllll yeah. Bring it. :) Im actually excited and it feels good! I get to decide what I do and do not do. Turbofire will act as my supplemental. I will shoot to do it every night but in the event that I dont, I know I hit it hard in the morning with my P90X classic. It will be like a kick ass safety net.

Hybrid... my way!

Monday blues
I have been struggling lately with pushing play and today was no different. I am just so sick of Tony's voice and jokes and tired of Chalene's music and instruction. I know I can just mute it and listen to my own music but then I would really lose focus. It took a long time to do my chest and back routine today because I kept pausing it and saying I was done, then feeling guilty and end up going back to it. I just dont get the same satisfaction from the DVDs as I do running trails. I wish there was more daylight so I could do it everyday.
Now I'm on my lunch break eating 3 mashed up eggs and a go girl. Sounds gross but I like it. This morning I had a bowl of oatmeal....I still haven't decided what to make for dinner, maybe veggie stir-fry.
Oh I forgot to mention about yesterday! The photo shoot was a lot of fun, I have never had so many pictures taken of me, I was pretty uncomfortable in the beginning but once I warmed up I had a good time. She took over 500 shots! Ah! I can't wait to see the end result. I will share a few once they're ready. Anywho's I'm gonna relax for the rest of my break. I will finish my update later. :)

Back into the groove
Woke up at 4am to workout. I did Turbofire 45, it was nice to get back into the groove... I guess. It was cold this morning and it would have been a lot nicer to stay in bed, but I forced myself up. Im such a wuss when it comes to cold... it was probably like 60 degrees, but I was freezing. Im spoiled by this Hawaii weather.
After work my husband and I carved pumpkins. I made Oogie Boogie from Nightmare Before Christmas. I have to clean up around his teeth but Im tired already.
Dinner: havent eaten yet

My food intake today was yucky. Well it all tasted good but when I write it out you will probably think to yourself, "ew". lol
Breakfast: Ham and egg white sandwich (not gross)
Lunch: Furikake Popcorn. This is where it sounds gross, but I promise its oh so good. This place in the mall makes it. Basically its popcorn, furikake, arare and sour cream powder. Im assuming that its kind of like the ranch powder mix you can use to make ranch dip, but sour cream. I took a picture with my phone. Its so messy you have to eat it with chopsticks. :)
Snack: 2 Mele Kalikimacs. Yum!
Anyways, tomorrow will be a busy day, I have to be up and ready at my friends by 5:30am to catch the morning sun to do the first half of the photo shoot. I better go to sleep soon!

Red lips and Platinum Hair
"Hair Day" is my most favorite day, it comes every 5 weeks. I finally achieved my platinum blonde hair I was shooting for! I have been going every 5 weeks weeks since July to get it to this point. I am so excited! For anyone who knows hair you will feel my excitement when I say in July I had dark red hair. Mmm hmmm, red to blonde, damn near impossible, sure I lost a lot of length in the process but I'd rather have shorter platinum hair then long dark hair any day. Thats what extensions are for anyways. Now I can rock my red lips and platinum hair... oh happy day!
Besides my hair appt, today was great! I drove a total of about 200 miles today (round trip) to the other side of the island. The whole way I listened to Taking Back Sunday radio station on Pandora as loud as I wanted and was in heaven. I went to Sports Authority and got a water bottle and bright shirt to run with and some shot gun shells for my hubby. Then it was off to Target where they had awesome clearance. I picked up a purse- $8.98, cardigan- $7.98, ruffled top - $4.98, scarf - $3.98, plain white tee- $5.00 , some nail polish - $1.79 and make-up remover - $0.99. I love great deals.
BTW guess what I didnt do today? Workout. :P Im starting my routine again tomorrow where I wake up at 4:00am to get down to business. Its the only way I can do it. So that will be how I start my day, then its off to work and then pumpkin carving. Sunday I agreed to be a subject for an up and coming photographer, its sounding like its going to be an all day event, hair, makeup, outfit changes. It will be exhausting, but fun.
Before I go here's my food journal:
Breakfast: Boiled egg and a banana - sounds gross, but it was good. :)
Lunch: Green bean tempura from Genki Sushi....mmmmmmm
Dinner: didnt eat yet
Snack: Starbucks iced mocha (tall).... I needed it for the drive home.
Date night
Everything about yesterday was great, except for the fact that I didnt workout...again! My motivation in that department is still on vacation. Every other part of my life is great so Im not going to complain too much. :) I think its good to remind myself that this isnt a race, I dont have a deadline, this isnt a quick fix, this is a lifestyle change! I need to do things that I can maintain for the rest of my life. I can guarantee that working out EVERYDAY is not one of them. But I will make it a point to workout several times a week, I just cant get down on myself if "life" happens.
Work went nice and smooth yesterday and my husband took me out on a date night afterwards, which was completely unexpected making it that much more special. Who could ask for more? ;) My diet yesterday was not bad, to my standards at least.
Breakfast: Granola and Go girl
Lunch: Egg sandwich with a side salad
Dinner: Bean Burrito
Snacks: None
We went grocery shopping after dinner last night and picked out pumpkins to carve and bought tons of veggies and other yummy things so we can actually cook dinner this week. :) Fish was super cheap which was great, so we stocked up. By the time we got home and got everything put away it was well past 10:00pm so exercising would have only made me stay up later. I really just have to workout in the morning to ensure things like this dont happen. I didnt even get to watch my Thursday night line up, thank goodness for DVR! :)
Anywhos its 6:00am and I have to get ready for the day ahead. On the agenda I have a hair appt and then a possible trip to the other side of the island to pick up a few things...if not its to the park for a hike. Regardless, it looks like its going to be another beautiful day. TGIF ;)

Motivation, where art thou?
My motivation is taking a sick day today. I dont know if its because I had a day from hell today or what but my diet sucked and my workout, well its non-existant. Sure its 7:00pm and I could potentially still work out, but to hell with it. Raincheck please!
My diet blew chunks it was like any concept of a diet went out the window. At least I ate I guess. ;)
Breakfast: Safeway Breakfast Sandwich, which is egg whites, ham and cheese.
Lunch: I had a Korean Bento from Seoul Station, it consisted of rice, meat jun and mandoo. There was kim chee too, but I hate that crap.
Dinner: Kids meal from Pandas minus the cookie and soda. I just had water.
Snacks: none
I guess its not ttthhhhaaattt bad, but compared to my usual its horrible. I guess today can be my "cheat" day. I heard those are good for you anyways.
Tomorrow will be a new day. I get to wake up at the crack of dawn to be to work by 6:30am, work all damn day, squeeze in a workout then veg. in front of the TV for my 2 hours of trash that I watch. Its a Thursday ritual, cant stop now. Besides watching Dexter on DVD my TV time is pretty limited.
I found this picture online and it made me feel pretty good since I am in a healthy range. 5'1 - 134 lbs. Sure 6 lbs and Im out but Im not gaining, Im losing. So nothing to worry about! Someday I want to be at the bottom of the bracket. I should set a goal. 2lbs a week, say my goal is 110lbs, that means I have to lose 24lbs, that would be January completion? That sounds do-able. Only thing is I dont know when I was ever 110 lbs. I dont know if my body is capable of sustaining that as a "healthy" weight. Eh, when I am satisfied I will stop.....well not stop, just maintain. :)

Curry
Chicken - (I used a roasted chicken because I was too lazy after work to cook one haha, but you could just use frozen chicken breast)
1 onion- chopped
2 large potato - diced
2 tsp. curry powder (or more if you want)
1/2 tsp salt
1/4-1/8 tsp pepper
2 tbs. sugar
3 tbs. oyster sauce
1 tbs. shoyu
4 cloves chopped garlic
Soften onion in a little bit of oil, add garlic and fry til fragrant. Add chicken and brown. Add oyster sauce, potato, spices and cook until soft. You can cover it for a bit to get the potatoes soft. Voila! Dinner is served!
Yesterday I did CardioX. As much as I hate yoga the small segment in this workout felt sooo good on my calves. They are pretty tight from the running I have been doing so I welcomed yoga....just this once. :)
As for my food journal yesterday it went like this:
Breakfast: Go Girl and Nature Valley Granola
Lunch: Ahi and green beans (left overs from the night before)
Dinner: Curry
Snack- Almonds
I was actually pretty hungry yesterday which hasnt been the norm, so of course I didnt have any snacks packed because I usually dont need them. Thankfully I had those almonds. I did walk to the 7-11 near my work during lunch because I was craving something sweet, I could have snatched a bag of m&m's and been one happy camper but I decided to go with a calorie/sugar free juice thing...it tasted like lychee. It satisfied my craving and I didnt snarf up any additional calories. Phew! ;)

Day 22
Today is day 22. Im still sticking to it. I havent "pushed play" as many times as I should have this week because I swapped those workouts with running instead. I absolutely love jogging in the national park. Its nice and cold since its higher in elevation and there is usually no one around, sure I will pass someone here and there, but no one seems to jog on these trails. Its just me and the path. Its quiet and I can just zone out with my ipod (which is currently glued to the new Blink-182 album, ohhh how I missed them, there is something about their voices that are so attractive. The new CD is good, its a bit more mature than their last in regards to the lyrics and sounds like a mix of Angels and Airwaves and their old stuff). I went back to the park today and did another 3 miles, I would have done more but I got rained out. Drizzle I can handle but it started to come down rather hard and I just wasnt having it anymore.
I took some pictures today to do a little comparision. My usual attire for pictures were in the wash, and I didnt feel like changing when I got home from jogging. I know I should really wait until the 30 day mark but I hate to wait! Changes are small to most but big to me, not to mention there is only a 12 day gap between these pictures. (if you want to see my starting point, click here.) The side view I can totally tell the reduction, same for the front view around my hips. Im so happy. :)
Well I'm going to go and do another workout before I cook dinner. Although its over now there has been unnecessary drama in my life, especially today. It used to affect me differently but now, I just workout and I'm over it. Exercise is the best medicine. :) With each drama filled situation I encounter it only makes me wiser, but it also makes me more reclusive because I hate putting up with that kind of B.S. I guess being a loner does have its perks. Blah. :P

National Park Adventure
This is my after. I ate a sausage...and a bite of egg, maybe some potato and tossed whats left in the picture. :) For lunch my sister and I went to this place called Bueno Burrito. Its reminds me of a knock off version of Chipotles. Of course, Chipotles kicks their ass, but it will have to do. I did a bowl instead of a burrito, it had cilantro rice, pinto beans, lettuce, shredded chicken, olives, sour cream and guacamole. It was incredibly filling, I think I ate maybe 1/2. :)
After lunch it was off to the National Park. I have been there quite a few times, and have done this exact trail. I dont know what I was thinking or where my mind was but I got lost. Mega lost. I went down into the crater, climbed up the switchbacks, then from there I made a wrong turn and turned up in some deserted place that looks like people havent been in a while. The road was all cracked with grass growing up through it...but at least there was a road, thats how I knew I was safe. It wasnt a regular road that had normal traffic, it looked almost like an emergency route. I have no idea. Im just glad I had my GPS running on my phone so I was able to find my way back. If not I might still be there! :) Besides getting lost the hike was beautiful! I took some shots with my camera phone, but I cannot stand camera phone quality, I mean just those two pictures above are pretty horrendous. You can check out my other blog at Feeding My Addictions to find pictures from the park. You can even check out my route from today by clicking here. It says I had a 659 ft gain during my hike! Whoop whoop! My legs are going to be feeling it tomorrow. :)
Breakfast
Lol silly post I know but I've been thinking about how everyday I say I need to eat more so here is my attempt. It's not very much but it's more than my usual. Baby steps. :) problem is is that I look at it and have no desire to eat it. It's eggs and veggie sausage from Island Naturals. Im sure it's delicious but eh. Here is to baby steps. ;)

Sooooooo..... I took the day off of exercising today. Gasp! :) I really feel like I needed to recharge today. I dont want to burn out and I will if I keep on the path that Im on now. I feel like my posts are the same everyday regarding my food blog.
Breakfast: Frosted flakes
Lunch: A piece of chicken.... pathetic I know
Dinner: 1/2 an egg sandwich and some popcorn
Ugh my stomach hurts now. Shouldnt have ate the popcorn. Plus I had no Go Girls today, I felt like I was going through caffeine withdrawals, not fun. Oh yeah I forgot for a snack I had a mini crunch bar. Pa-the-tic.

8 minute mile
Yessah, I got to go on a run today after work and it felt oh so good. I completed my first mile in 8 minutes, which is about 1 and 1/2 minutes better than the last time I ran. I didn't keep track of my 2nd mile stats. I'm a bit competitive when I run, I love to pass people and not let them pass me back. For anyone who knows me they know I am a "weirdo" magnet. Today was no exception. I had some guy try to run with me... I guess thats ok but 1. Im listening to music, so Im not going to talk and I dont want to lose my concentration 2. Dont ask me to keep a slower pace so you can maintain with me!! Holy moly, really?! Hahaha I was shocked. I could see if we came together and were cheering each other on, but I havent seem this guy before in my life. Dont you think thats a little weird?
To top it off there was this dumb lady "exercising" and smoking a damn cigarette! How rude, although it gave me incentive to run faster and pass her ass. :) I hope to get to a 6 minute mile, although I would prefer to go for distance and not time, but its still a goal for me.
I plan to hit the national park this weekend and run there. I like going places where you run away from your car and the only way to get back is to run there. If you do laps around a place its so easy to just say I'm tired, I'm done. But if you're 2 miles away from your car, you HAVE to keep going, or else you arent going home. :)
Another piece of totally AWESOME news is that my husband passed his board exams!!!!!! He is now a Pharm D. and R.Ph in the state of Hawaii! I cant even begin to describe how proud I am!
In other news, my food journal for today was as follows:
Breakfast- Go Girl and Nutri-grain bar - 125 calories
Lunch- 1/2 of a chicken and brown rice bento from Island Naturals - 235 calories
Dinner- 6" Ham and turkey on wheat from Subway. Although ended up ripping off the top of my sandwich to cut the break consumption in half. :) - A regular 6 inch with out losing 1/2 the bread is 280 calories. I dont feel like doing the math so I will just go with that number.
Snack- Handful of almonds and another Go Girl before my run. :) 85 calories
Total - 725 calories...... I know I keep saying this, but I NEED to increase my intake. But its just sooooo hard when I'm not hungry. Why eat more if I have the energy I need and Im not hungry?? hmmmmmmm....
Progress Update ... 27 inches!!!
I've tried about 10 times to enter my current stats on my beachbody profile but its not working and its making me a little irritated so I'm just going to update here first and go back later when it decides to cooperate. :) So I lost 2 pounds this week and more inches! 5 to be exact! Shawoop! No pictures because I'm in a rush off to work this morning. Whomp Whomp.

Bad days
Phew, these past few days have sucked ass. MAJOR ass. I'm still pushing play and I think thats whats pulling me through it, its the only time I am just in the zone and happy, that and talking with a new friend of mine. :) Monday was a typical Monday, but it was on crappy crack. I was pumping gas, off in la-la land just waiting for the tank to fill and all of a sudden I hear liquid hitting the ground. I look down and there is gas EVERYWHERE! On the ground, on my car, on me. Great. The auto shut off didnt work! I live about 40 minutes out of town so there was no way I could go home to change. I sure to hope our patients liked the smell of gasoline because I stunk. After that it was like a damn domino effect that seemed to carry its crappy ass straight through today. For the past two afternoons I have been dying to go running but I got off at 6:00 and the sun decided that it wants to go down super fast starting at 5:45 just so right when I walk out the door it will be pitch black. I was soooo close to running in the dark, you have no idea.
Tomorrow I will definitely get out to run. Rain or shine I dont give a rip. I would go into my food journal but it has been pathetic. It has mainly consisted of granola and go girls. When I used to be in a bad mood I would comfort myself with food, but now my appetite is missing. Dont get me wrong, Im not complaining, but whats wrong?

Beyond Bored
Yesterday I was so beyond bored that I ended up playing hair and makeup and becoming my own subject. I had finished Dexter - Season One and needed to go pick up season two from the store. Being the tight-wad that I am I didnt want to spend money on any more gas than I had to so I wasnt willing to make 2 trips to town so I had to wait until 8:00 at night to go and get it. This is the product of that boredom.
Rest Day
I hate to duplicate my post from my other blog but today is a rest day so this blog is going to take a break too. :) I took a break from my Dexter marathon to check out the Hilo Dog Show. It seemed like every pup I took a picture of knew what I was doing and enjoyed it. Now I'm back home and full force back into my Dexter-thon. I am addicted to a serial killer. He is unusually and incredibly attractive, is there something wrong with me? :) Obsessed is a good word describe my current state.

Empty House + Island Naturals + Dexter = One Happy Girl
Heeelllll yeah! Seriously this night is much over due. Dont get me wrong I love my husband and having him around but sometimes its just nice to have the whole house to yourself. I can eat whatever I want, watch whatever I want, do whatever I want, be as loud as I want. Ahhhhhh, Its nice. Im skipping my work out to soak this all in. I have my whole night planned, I have dinner from Island Naturals (which is like our version of Whole Foods) I got spinach pilaf and chicken satay and then I rented Dexter. Im starting with season one and I am going to work my way through all the seasons. I will probably only get through season one tonight, but whatever! :)
On a different note I swapped my shoes out for these:
Im pretty excited, I hope they're comfy. My food journal sucked, yet again. My whole day sucked really. Thats why tonight its going to kick ass. I was so busy through out the day that I can literally remember everything I ate: Ham and egg sandwich for breakfast, Go girl for lunch...if you even want to call it lunch and then I have my dinner waiting for me. I had a handful of almonds around 2:00, I had just enough time to sneak them in.
Well enough chit-chat its Dexter time! I dont know how a serial killer can be hot, but he is! ;)

Blah
What a blah kind of day. Food journal sucked, yet again.....I never thought I would have a problem with not eating enough. It's usually the other way around. Something in my mind is just not firing properly. My mind is telling my belly, "No! You're not hungry!" That should be a good thing right? But it just seems wrong. Under eating is bad, especially when you take into consideration all the exercise I have been doing. I have only consumed 531 calories today and its already 7:06pm. Im not hungry for dinner. I think I'm going to eat an avocado. mmmmmmm. Or maybe I will go out for dinner.... In any case lets get on with it, food journal as follows:
Breakfast: Go Girl - Pomegranate Blueberry Tea (35 calories)
Lunch:
Subway Fresh fit for kids - Roast Beef - (200 calories)
Vanilla Lowfat Yogurt Parfait (40 calories, because I only took like 2 bites, I figured it was about 1/4 of the cup)
Apple Chips (6 calories, again I had ONE apple chip and chucked the rest)
Snacks: 1/2 small banana - (60 calories)
Granola bar- (190 calories)
Dinner: Still havent gotten there.... :(
On a somewhat happy note I bought some shoes and another bottom so I did my best to snap a shot before I started my exercise. You may be thinking, shoes for Yoga? Yeah thats right, I didnt do yoga! I ran all my frustrations out and felt way better. I would have been a major crank wad if I didnt do something to get it out. I'm still on the fence about my shoes, I think I still want to get a pair of Reebok Zigs. This is a little off the subject but I have been listening to Pandora while I run and Im not usually a rap/"booty" music type of gal but those songs are great to run too. Have you noticed that about 99.9% of those songs are about sex?! Lol keeps it interesting to say the least.

This is a little off the subject but I have been listening to Pandora while I run and Im not usually a rap/"booty" music type of gal but those songs are great to run too. Have you noticed that about 99.9% of those songs are about sex?! Lol keeps it interesting to say the least.

Korean Pork and Corn on the cob
Ugh. My legs feel like J-E-L-L-O! I did my P90X Shoulder and arms routine this morning and when I got home this afternoon I ran a little over 3 miles, according to my phone it said I averaged about 9. something minutes a mile. Do you ever finish a workout and feel like you pushed a little too much? I'm feeling that way right now. I went from never running to thinking I was some kind of pro. haha not that 9 minutes a mile is awesome or anything but its awesome to me.
I whipped up dinner really quick and now Im just sitting here chatting with a friend and writing my blog entry. :) Tonight was Korean BBQ pork and corn on the cob. The meat was pre-marinated from our local grocery store, KTA, so I have no recipe except for: 1. Take out of pkg. 2. Cook in pan. :) Now thats my kind of dinner! Only if every night was that easy!As for the corn it was just as simple, plopped in some boiling water for a few minutes, salt and pepper and voila!
I went out today on a quest for a new pair of shoes. Boy do I hate living on this damn island. There are NO choices, it was Champs....thats about it. I think I am going to have to drive 100 miles to the other side of the island to go to Sports Authority just for a damn pair of shoes. So instead I got some cute workout outfits. Its always funner to workout in cute stuff. lol, oh no the girly girl is shinning through in me. But its true, I got a nice sports bra, cute pink bra tank top and some Calvin Klein capris. I didnt even know Calvin Klein made workout attire. Its super comfy. Gotta love Ross. Cheap, cheap and cheap. :) I tried to take a pic but I didnt have a tripod and well my arm isnt long enough to get my whole body in the frame!
I'm totally not looking forward to tomorrow, YogaX. Now thats a double Ugh. I would rather do anything else. I dont know why I despise Yoga as much as I do. I think it makes it that much worse because of the feeling I have going into it. I just listen to his speech in the beginning and its just not how I feel. I cant clear my mind, its not like any ride I have ever been on. Its just uncomfortable....and loooonnnggg. But I will just grit my teeth and do it.
Before I forget we have my food journal! Today was bad. At about 3:00 in the grocery checkout line I realized I didnt even eat lunch, so that explains my snack! So close your eyes:
Breakfast: Frosted flakes - 150 cal
Lunch: Nada - 0 cal (duh)
Snack: Symphony bar - 200 cal
Dinner: Korean pork and corn- 261 cal
Total: 611....whomp whomp.
Crap! That is horrible! I cant believe I am not starving to death tonight. Tisk, tisk, tisk. Better luck tomorrow.
Shakeology.....
I woke up at 5:45am, did my shoulders and arms routine from 6-7, choked on some Shakeology, snarfed up some Frosted Flakes and now Im trying to jam out this entry so I can get ready to get to work by 9am. Its another short day at work, 9-1, the doctors are out of office for the week so its just training and catch up for this week. Its nice to have a breather. Because my schedule is so lax this weekend it's allowing me to do double workouts!
Before I go I want to remind anyone reading my entry this morning to take it with a grain of salt, everyone is different, I know TONS of people who LOVE Shakeology, so dont let my opinion sway you away, I just hope you can try it before you buy it like me!
I hope everyone has a great day!

Asian BBQ Chicken and Green Beans
Tonights dinner was a hit with the husband. I got the recipe off of Once Upon a Chef... where I seem to be getting a lot of dinner ideas from. You should click the link and check it out, she has great dinner/snack/salad ideas! Unfortunately I wasnt able to make the chicken on the grill so I just had to use our stove top. It still came out good and I was able to get those burnt little crispys, but Im sure grill version would be even yummier. I also didnt have any ginger! Do you ever get half way through making your recipe and realize that you dont have an ingredient? Ahhh, it drives me crazy! Green beans seem to be a vegetable staple here. If all else fails, green beans. Tonight I cooked them with a weird combo of spices... or it at least sounds weird when I list em, but it tasted really good! I used salt, pepper, lemon pepper and onion powder. I was going to put garlic but I forgot.....Ok now that I re-read the list, its not that weird! :)
As for the rest of my day my food journal went a little something like this....(well not a little, lol, this is exactly what I ate)
Breakfast: Go Girl, handful of almonds and 1/2 a breakfast sandwich which was made from ham, egg whites and cheddar. - 285 cal
Lunch: Sesame String beans....(here I go with the beans again) and a tiny little piece of turkey meatloaf 135 cal
Dinner: Asian BBQ chicken and Green Beans, that is my plate pictured above. 353 cal
Snack: 1 fun size crunch bar and a hand full of Gardettos. 125 cal
Total: 898 Calories
Gah, Im under but Im not eating anything else, its coming up on 8:00pm and I dont like to eat too late into the evening. I use My Fitness Pal to keep count of my calories. Its nice because they have a huge database and you can use your phone to scan the barcode of the box if you want a quick input....if your food even came in a box. Not to mention the program is free....who doesnt like free?! :)

Day 10
I'm thinking today is Day 10. I am so excited about my progress so far! Lets do a comparison shall we? :) I judge myself pretty harshly so I can see the small things, so to some you might be thinking theres no difference! But for 10 days I think there's tons. My waist is narrower, my butt doesnt seem to be sticking out as far :), the chub roll on the back...disappearing! I wish I could take the EXACT same picture, but this is as close as I got....frankly its not bothering me enough to change it. lol

Bad day - Go girl = not so bad day :)
Phew this morning was a crappy one. And that is an understatement. I hate drama, I never like to get involved, I dont want to go near it so when it finds me it drives me nuts. It took about 30 minutes out of my day which is fine since we squashed it but I was right in the middle of my Chest and Back routine!! It threw a wrench into my schedule and was right about to throw my whole rest of the day off. I know this sounds stupid but I drank a Go Girl and everything felt better. hahaha that crap must have some good feeling ingredients in it, it upped my mood, gave me energy and I hit my Chest and Back and slapped on a Turbofire 30 routine too!
For those of you wondering, "whats a Go Girl?!" I will tell ya, (or better yet I will copy and paste from their website : Go Girl Energy)

"Go Girl Sugar Free
The energy drink you’ve been waiting for! Go Girl Sugar Free is the original Go Girl! It contains less than 5 calories. Less than 1 gram of carbs. Has Super Citrimax®, a mild herbal appetite suppressant. Best of all, it tastes Great! Plus, it comes in a cute pink can ;)"
They also have Go Girl GLO and Go Girl Bliss. Both are really yummy and the Bliss is not carbonated. Its like a peach tea. Super yum. These are my go-to when I need a pick me up. Not to mention they suppress your appetite! Whats not to love. :) lol I know its not the greatest, but there is a lot worse out there.
If it wasnt for completing my workouts I would have declared this a crappy day from start to finish but working out really made me feel good about myself. Between my morning drama, crazy people at work, non-stop computer problems, training the newbies and a hectic grocery store I could have easily grabbed something horrible to eat and had a pity party but I pulled my shit together and kept pushing forward. Sheese I'm a really potty mouth today! Eek! :)

Cashew Chicken, Brown Rice and Green Beans
For dinner tonight it was cashew chicken, brown rice and green beans. I got the recipe from Once Upon A Chef. I have made several recipes from her site and they all come out tasting yummy! It only calls for a few ingredients which is always nice, if I can recall correctly I used hoisin sauce, shoyu, rice vinegar, garlic and water. You should really check out her site, she has great step by step pictures and the recipes never calls for crazy stuff. It called for green onions but it was dark outside and I didnt want to try and venture into my garden in the dark. (Not that green onions are crazy hehe) As for the green beans I just cooked them in some shoyu, oyster sauce and garlic.
For anyone who knows Hawaii, they know that the people here LOVE rice. White rice to be exact. They eat rice with everything, we could eat it with breakfast, lunch and dinner if you let us. McDonald's here even serves breakfast with rice. Growing up I would eat rice with everything, that was my job when I got home from school, to cook the rice! Things have changed since then and I dont eat rice nearly as much but some meals just arent the same without a side of rice! Its like cereal with no milk. :) My husband would never eat brown rice. He would say it was too crunchy and when I would make a pot of it, it would just sit there. My sister introduced me to this brown rice...it's a little more expensive but they take off the outer husk but dont bleach or process the rice so it still has the benefits/nutrients of brown rice just without the crunch! (I would assume they sell this in the mainland since it was packaged in California, you just may have to go to an asian market? Hawaii's food has a heavy asian influence so I can find it in any grocery store here, even Target.) I would definitely recommend it for anyone who is on the fence about brown rice. You cant tell the difference, my husband snarfs it up like it was white rice. Power Yoga and Turbofire HIIT 15
My rest day turned into a double workout kind of day. Its funny, when I know I dont "have" to workout I want to workout. ha! Everyday should be a rest day. Its like reverse psychology, tell me no I say yes, you say yes, I say no.
I did MTV's Power Yoga in the morning. I remember this being so tough, and now it was a breeze. I could really tell how much stronger I am and how much my endurance has improved. I used to love this video, I thought it kicked my butt, after today I'm not really sure I will want to do it again. It didnt push me like the beachbody programs I have.
This afternoon I wanted to do some more so I did the Turbofire HIIT 15 workout. Who knew you could work up such a sweat in 15 minutes. Phew! For anyone who hasnt done a HIIT routine before you do about 40-60 seconds of high intensity followed by about 30-40 seconds of low intensity then repeat. I believe I did 9 high intensity segments. It was great! Who cant push their hardest for 40-60 seconds? When you look at it that way its easier to tackle.
Tomorrow I believe I have P90X Chest and Back. I'm really thinking about doing the full Turbofire routine and doing a supplemental P90X on the side, so I will do all the strength routines every other day and Turbofire every day. hmmmmmm.......

Rest Day
Today is my rest day...but I dont feel like resting. Of course its raining so I cant go outside, the house is a mess so that will take some time.... I will probably squeeze in something though. Maybe a Turbofire routine...or some pilates or power yoga. We will see.
Yesterday I went out with my husband and he got his tattoo finished. It took FOREVER. They got started at about 1:00ish and we didnt get out until a little past 8:00! It came out really nice though....now he just has to do the background to tie it all together.

Boom I got your boyfriend, I got your man...
Haha, anyone who has done Turbofire 45 knows that song. Its the corniest song but it makes the routine so much fun. I havent done all the Turbofire discs yet but so far the Fire 45 is my favorite.
Its Saturday and I have the day off, my husband is finishing his sleeve today (tattoo). He has had the outline for awhile and he's finally going to color it in. One of my passions is photography, I have another blog, Feeding My Addictions, where I post some of my photos. I have been neglecting this hobby for awhile, I just have been so busy! But today I have nothing planned. I will take some shots of him getting his tattoo, and then just wander around. His tattoo takes hours so I will have plenty of time. I will try and post some pics later.
Hilo also has a great farmers market every Saturday and Wednesday which is just down the street from the shop, perhaps I will go and check that out too.
Hope everyone has a great weekend and keeps pushing play!
